Our Story
Headquartered in Miami, USA, with a production facility in Guérande, France, Armax was founded in 2021 by François Cassou. An experienced electrical engineer, François spent 15 years at the Chantiers de l’Atlantique shipyard in Saint-Nazaire, overseeing lighting systems in both crew and passenger cabins. Always eager to grow and embrace new challenges, he later joined Royal Caribbean Group as a Senior Electrical Superintendent, further expanding his expertise in the cruise ship industry.
During his tenure, he identified a significant gap in the market—a clear lack of suppliers in France offering innovative, high-end bespoke lighting solutions tailored to the sophisticated needs of ship owners. Simultaneously, he observed a growing trend toward dynamic, ever-evolving interior spaces that demanded more than conventional illumination. These pivotal insights inspired him to create Armax—a company dedicated to pushing the boundaries of lighting design not only in the cruise ship world but across all luxury environments.
To embrace this ambitious challenge, François has assembled a solid, highly skilled team. Cristina, our Design Manager from Peru, is at the heart of all our projects. She combines creativity with practicality to deliver outstanding results that exceed client expectations.
Kamil Brylowski, from Poland, oversees all technical aspects and ensures seamless execution from start to finish. His expertise in lighting control systems and data integration is one of the keys to our success.
As PMO Operations Lead, Benoît Roux completes the core team. With 25 years of experience in project management across various industries, he brings valuable expertise in logistics, project monitoring, and media content.
